Research on Soybean

The seeds and fruits of many legumes are rich in protein, fat and starch.

Protein from legumes is often an important choice to make up the shortage of animal protein. The study of legumes began in 1998, our research on this is limited to the soybean and the legumes model plants (Lotus Japonicus and Medicago truncatula), and are mainly in the following research aspects:

1. Molecular marker genotype identification of complex agronomic traits in Soybean.

2. Identification and mechanism analysis of resistance genes of Soybean Cyst Nematode.

3. Comparative study of soybean disease resistance genes based on genomics.

4. Cloning and enzymatic characterization of alcohol dehydrogenase genes in Lotus japonicas.
