Talents Cultivation

 

Haide is an institute based on experimental science which taking advantage of its own scientific research with the domestic colleges and universities to cultivate undergraduate, master's graduate students and doctoral students. From 2000, Haide has established the long-term cooperation projects of cultivating graduate students with the College of Life Science & Technology of Guangxi University, College of Life Science of Guizhou University, Northeast Forestry University. The colleges and universities organize national admissions, finish institute papers and scientific research in Haide, and thesis defense and degree awarded conferred by the depended colleges and universities. There are more than 60 graduate students obtain the corresponding degrees since project implementation, disciplines and specialities involved in microbiology, genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology

Ph. D of Microbiology Project

Ph. D. Degree of Microbiology is conferred by Guangxi University, which direction is the utilization of microbial genetic resource, concentrating on identification of Bacillus thuringiensis and cloning, expression, and functional studies of novel insecticidal toxin of Bacillus thuringiensis, and further development of engineering bacteria and transgenic plant for green pesticides and transgenic crops.

Ph. D of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Project

Ph. D Degree of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is conferred by Northeast Forestry University, which direction is the biochemistry and molecular biology major, plant molecular genetics and molecular breeding, concentrating on identification of important plant genetics and functional study, and further development of transgenic plant, cultivating transgenic crops.

M.S. Degree Thesis Project

M.S. Degree of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics is conferred by Guangxi University, Guizhou University and Northeast Forestry University. The subjects involve innovation, identification, utilization of plant and microbes resources, concentrating on functional genes isolates, cloning and molecular breeding of rice, soybean and cotton; collection and identification of Bacillus thuringiensis; Cloning, expression, and Functional Studies of Novel Insecticidal Toxin of Bacillus thuringiensis to provide resources and platform to the development of engineering bacteria and transgenic plant.

B.S. Degree Thesis Project

Haide accepts undergraduates from domestic universities to do graduation practice, degree paper and research every year. About 10 to 15 students majoring in Biology, Biotechnology and Agriculture are received under the commission their department to do 3-6 months practice. Hainan Normal University has built a field school in Haide, and some students are chosen to do their practice and experiment there each year.
